All positions require attending monthly board meetings.
President
The President serves as the chief executive of the Association, providing vision, leadership, and direction for the entire organization. This role presides over all board meetings, sets the agenda in coordination with other officers, and acts as the official representative of LVGSA to the community and partner organizations.
Vice President / Registrar
The Vice President supports the President in all aspects of league leadership and steps in when the President is unavailable. In the combined role of Registrar, this board member manages the player registration process from start to finish.
Treasurer
The Treasurer oversees all financial operations of the Association, including maintaining accurate records, managing league bank accounts, preparing financial reports, building the annual budget, and supporting nonprofit reporting requirements.
Secretary
The Secretary is the official record-keeper of the board, documenting meeting minutes, tracking attendance, maintaining bylaws and policies, distributing agendas, and keeping board communication organized.
UIC / Scheduler
The UIC / Scheduler supports umpire coordination and builds the season game calendar, coordinating field availability, team matchups, and rescheduling around weather or conflicts.
Social Media Director
The Social Media Director manages LVGSA's social media presence, sharing highlights, player spotlights, event announcements, registration reminders, and updates that keep La Verne families connected.
Player Agent
The Player Agent advocates for LVGSA players and families, oversees the player draft process, monitors team placements for fairness, and helps ensure league rules are applied consistently.
Manager Liaison
The Manager Liaison serves as the bridge between coaches and the LVGSA board, communicating policies, gathering coach feedback, coordinating coach meetings, and helping address concerns.
Field Maintenance Director
The Field Maintenance Director coordinates field preparation, dirt work, lining, equipment upkeep, and general maintenance to ensure a safe and professional playing environment.
League Commissioner
The League Commissioner oversees competitive integrity across divisions, interprets and enforces league rules, resolves disputes, supports coaches and umpires, and helps align local play with USA Softball standards.
Website / Communications
The Website and Communications board member maintains lvgsa.com, publishes announcements, sends league-wide emails, and helps families find timely information throughout the season.
Fundraising and Events Director
The Fundraising and Events Director plans fundraising efforts and special events such as opening day, picture day, tournaments, sponsorship drives, and community fundraisers.
Uniforms and Awards Director
The Uniforms and Awards Director manages player uniform ordering, sizing, and distribution, then coordinates end-of-season trophies, medals, and awards.
Snack Bar Coordinator
The Snack Bar Coordinator manages inventory, pricing, staffing schedules, volunteer coordination, permits, and game-day snack bar operations.
Board Member at Large
The Board Member at Large participates as a voting member of the board, helps maintain board quorum, represents the general membership, and leads temporary committees as needed.
